* Resurface the junction, add cycling specific signage to warn car drivers of cyclists, install Advanced Stop Lines (ASLs).
* To the east, create an on-road extension along Leaview and Powdermill Lane from the existing small section of off-road cycle route.
* Further east, create an off-road route parallel to the eastbound Abbeyview, up to a new toucan crossing linking with scheme 2.2.
